About Us

Margo Carey, owner of Carey Custom Computer Training, comes to your site to deliver one-on-one computer training to you. This unique approach of personalized service accelerates learning.

Whether you are a CEO or a person re-entering the work force, becoming computer proficient is a must to stay competitive. Many, who lag behind, find learning in the comfort of their home or office the easiest way to reach their goal.

Unlike large computer training companies which are teaching multiple people with various levels of expertise at the same time, Margo paces her teaching to your level of ability. It doesn’t matter whether you know what a mouse is or are trying to create your first customer database; she knows how to tailor the training to your needs.

Margo Carey has over 30 years of experience in business. She has run her own business, which specializes in personalized computer training and teaching, since May of 2000 and has been certified by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a computer teacher since June, 2008.

In addition to assisting businesses and individuals with particular computer concerns, Margo has been involved in a program teaching Microsoft Word and Excel since 2001. Her love for teaching has also taken her to senior centers where she gently walks her students through the basics of Windows, e-mail, the Internet, and programs like WordPad and Paint.

Carey is also a writer and author who makes her computer expertise available to the public through her monthly newsletter (Margo’s Computer Tips), her newspaper column in the Planet North Shore (Computer Concerns? Ask Margo), and in her White Papers, which are archived on this Web site. Other publishing projects are in the works. Her booklet, Easy Introduction to the Computer and the Internet, will be offered soon.  She welcomes inquiries about writing for other publications.

Margo is available for speaking engagements — as a panelist, breakout session or workshop leader, or keynote presenter.

Ms. Carey has a Master of Science in Environmental Sciences, Policy and Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Geography.

She is a member of North Shore Women in Business, North Shore Business Forum whose membership directory she maintains and she also serves as Vice Chairman on the Board of the Shipyard Association where she takes care of flyers and the newsletter.
